Saving money at a young age is hard because you just started to have your own income and freedom to spend it on what you want. People should try to start saving when they are young because it help them in the long run with emergencies, ease financial stress, and allow them to have financial freedom.

I liked how this video breaks it down to explain how the rich stay rich and the poor stay poor. Rich people are usually more financially educated and do not have to worry about whether they could buy this or that. Poor people sometimes have to decide "am i going to pay my phone bill or am I going to eat this week?" If you are poor loans will cost you more than if you were rich because banks will charge you higher interest rates to make you pay longer.

This video was very informative about the global supply chain management. Covid-19 did impact the supply chain majorly. At the time, I was working at HEB and our shelves were empty. We were struggling to get any merchandise in due to the pandemic. It really made me notice how the supply chain works, and how heavily the U.S. imports from other countries.

Ethics is a very important thing. I believe that every business should have good ethics, meaning that they should do what is right for not only them but for others as well. As a business person, I should be honest with the people I am in business with and not lie or try to "get one over on them". Being honest and having good ethics will get you and your company a whole lot further in life than lying and trying to take shortcuts. It will also help you to keep a good reputation.

I found it fascinating to learn about the importance of this topic. What intrigued me the most were the characteristics discussed. It was particularly interesting to learn that having a large population is one of these characteristics. It makes sense, but realizing that the desire for a larger population is driven by the goal of increased wealth was quite eye-opening.

New product stage, maturing product stage, and standardized product stage. These are the stages of a products life cycle. First a developed country innovated a new product For a small market, then the product establishes demand in innovating countries as well as advanced countries, and finally the production is drives down by moving facilities to nations with lower income.

I’ve done many projects over many different cultures so you could say that I am pretty well versed on culture and how different they can be from one another. The definition listed in this video define culture perfectly. It impacts every aspect of our daily lives without us even realizing it. For example, most cultures have a different food group, clothing, religions, and habits. These examples are all a part of our daily lives.

Learning about the 4 types of FDI was interesting; resource seeking, market seeking, efficiency seeking, and favorable government policy seeking. However, the most interesting was market seeking. Firms actually invest in a particular country that they have studied and believe they will earn popularity and customers in. Said country will then become the target market for that firm.

As explained in the video, regional economic integration, in simple terms, is an agreement between countries. I did not know what this was before watching and the video was great for learning. The dates and timeline that were included proves that agreements like these have been around for a long time, meaning that it’s a great system. Just because one country has a certain system for complete their own task doesn’t mean that other countries use that exact same system.

Apple, Coca-cola, Starbucks, and McDonalds are all examples that the video listed as globalization of markets. What are now known as globalized markets were all once distinct markets that grew popularity and became global.

This video provided me with a better understanding of how the middle class is classified. I do not always think about the fact that the cost of living varies drastically in different parts of the country; therefore, the middle class may look different in these places. It is also interesting to note that lifestyle is part of the criteria of being a middle class citizen, considering a person's purchases may not accurately demonstrate their wealth.

This video was very informative on the different factors that contribute to GDP. I found it interesting that GDP does not demonstrate income distribution in a nation. It did not occur to me that an increase in GDP does not indicate that the standard of living of citizens in the United States has improved. I also think that HDI is a very interesting metric to assess the health of a nation because it focuses on the capability of the citizens.

I'm somewhat familiar with the government systems around the world as I often hear about the restrictions the elders in my family mentioned growing up. I've always been grateful being born in the states as I heard there were more cons than pros regarding the government and political systems in my home country and surrounding countries. I appreciate the tips that are provided in this video to save money. I'm guilty to say that couponing is a tool that I do not utilize as well as taking care of my health. To be honest, it's lower on the priority list for me. Just surviving one day at a time is already hard but I can at least use the other tools such as avoiding impulse purchasing and lowering everyday cost to help save money. I think we all unconsciously find a way to save money when we know there are people and things that we need to take care of first.
